Athena's Warehouse Internship
Our internships offer 100% remote opportunities to current college and graduate students across the US. Internships with us are education based and can last from 3 months to 2 years. (Hybrid & In-person opportunities also available for students in GA. ) Our internship placements can be within our own organization, or we may place you at a paid position with with one of our woman owned & operated partner companies.
Applications are accepted year round but you must fill out the Interest Form first and wait to be contacted by a member of our team, which can take 2 weeks to 6 months.
Social Media Intern
- Assist in creating and implementing social media strategies to increase the organization's online presence and engagement.
- Create and curate compelling content for various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor social media channels for trends and opportunities to amplify the organization's message.
- Engage with the online community, respond to comments, and foster meaningful interactions.
- Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all platforms.
Wellness Programs Intern
- Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of wellness programs designed for teen girls.
- Assist in developing workshop curricula focusing on topics such as mental health, self-care, nutrition, and physical fitness.
- Coordinate logistics for wellness events, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and resource procurement.
- Conduct research on best practices in adolescent wellness and integrate findings into program development.
- Collaborate with partner organizations and experts in the field to enhance program offerings and impact.
Grant Writing Intern
- Research potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations that align with the organization's mission.
- Assist in writing and editing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports to secure funding for various programs and initiatives.
- Gather and organize supporting documents, budget information, and data to strengthen grant applications.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and requirements to ensure timely submissions.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify funding priorities and strategic approaches for grant-seeking efforts.
Fundraising Events Intern
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing fundraising events such as galas, auctions, and community fundraisers.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and volunteer recruitment.
- Assist in developing marketing materials and promotional strategies to attract attendees and sponsors.
- Support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts before, during, and after events.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and analysis to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned.
Nonprofit Management Intern
- Gain hands-on experience in various aspects of nonprofit management, including operations, administration, and governance.
- Support day-to-day operations, such as database management, volunteer coordination, and office administration.
- Assist in developing and implementing organizational policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and organizational growth initiatives.
- Participate in meetings with board members, staff, and stakeholders to provide updates and contribute insights.
